Sulagna Chattopadhyay is the President of LIGHTS. LIGHTS is an acronym of Learning in Geography, Humanities, Technology and Science. She is the Editor of G’nY magazine since its inception in 2001. She has been nominated as a member of the working group for disaster management in the Planning Commission in 2011. She has edited 12 books and reports. She is the member of the Anti-Ragging Committee, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi since 2009. She has studied at JNU.



Dr. N Prasad

Dr. Prasad has done M.A., M Phil and Ph.D. from the School of International Studies, Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is trained in research and analysis. Further, he has two books of international quality to his name and has been the Editor of Bhugol aur Aap from its inception. He is also on the panel of editorial advisors for the G’nY magazine that has being covering all aspects of energy in its issues for the last 10 years. Dr. Prasad has vast experiences in the field of Renewable Energy.



Col. Deepak Ghura
Member,
LIGHTS
Col. Deepak Ghura is a member of LIGHTS. He retired from the Army in 1996 after 33 years of service. He is a veteran of 1965 and 1971 wars and has served in Leh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh while with the Border Roads Organisation, besides other Army Cantonments. After retirement he has been a consultant in roads supervision projects in India and Afghanistan. He has been a keen sportsman and continues to play golf after retirement.



Prof. (Dr.) Saraswati Raju

A social geographer by training, Prof.Saraswati Raju has carved a unique niche for herself as a Gender Champion in the world intelligentsia. She has many books to her name along with the Gender Atlas through which she gave prominence to gender studies. She has visited many foreign universities as guest professor and written many articles in international journals. She has also been awarded many laurels. She has been teaching at Centre for Social and Regional Development, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University for the last 20 years.



Dr. S Srinivasan
Medical Practitioner,
Apollo, New Delhi
Dr.S.Srinivasan, has done M.B.B.S from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi and M.D. in Pediatrics from Safdurjung Hospital, University of Delhi. He has done his post graduate diploma in Hospital Administration from Institute for Social Sciences and Research, Vellore.

Dr.Srinivasan, during the stint of his M.B.B.S. course, got second prize for Proficiency in Preventive and Social Medicine. He has worked as a consultant to UNICEF, Maldives and also associated with several NGOs.
